The challenge
What this project had to solve.
The challenge: the existing bath was tight, dated, and waterproofed poorly — a hidden leak risk sitting behind finished tile. What we did: we rebuilt from the substrate up, getting the waterproofing and slope right before a single tile went down, then reworked the layout into a curbless wet-room with heated floors and a freestanding tub. The result: a true spa experience that is as sound behind the walls as it looks in the room — built to last, not just to photograph.
Scope of work
A cramped Carlsbad primary bath with failing waterproofing was taken down to the studs and rebuilt as a curbless wet-room. We corrected the substrate and waterproofing first — the part no one sees — then reworked the layout for an open, step-free shower, set heated floors under the tile for comfort, and placed a freestanding stone tub as the centerpiece. Marble tile and a curbless glass enclosure finish the room as a calm, spa-grade retreat.
